An industrial oil-palm plantation in Kalimantan Tengah, Indonesia. Can you spot the remnant riparian forest strips in the midground, and upland forest patches in the background? A new academic year: new lab members and new positions!

The new academic year started about a month ago and I could barely catch a breath. But better late than never! I want to welcome Taylor Woods to our team.  Taylor is a PhD student who came to us after completing an MS with Dan McGarvey in VCU. She does really cool macroecology and conservation research focusing on stream fish! I'm super excited to collaborate with her on her dissertation research. Welcome Taylor!!!

I am also looking to recruit 1-2 MS or PhD students starting in Fall 2019. For more information, please visit the Join Us! page.
